Special Finishes
As our headquarters are in the South West, we naturally supply a significant number of high-end private residences along the coast. A few years ago, we identified that the wear and tear on our boards in these environments—caused by sand, grit, and salt—was far greater than in city-based projects. To address this, we developed two specialised finishing systems for both our lacquered and oiled boards, making them among the most hard-wearing wooden boards available.
- Lacquered Boards: We enhanced our factory finishing process to a 6–7 coat lacquer system. This involves multiple layers of lacquer applied at the factory, creating an exceptionally durable and hard-wearing finish.
- Oiled Boards: We transitioned to thicker, denser oils and incorporated UV oil finishes for superior durability. Additionally, while our oiled boards come prefinished, we recommend an extra coat of oil upon installation for an added layer of protection, ensuring they are the most hard-wearing on the market.
Premium Width Options
We offer 400mm wide boards in both Oak and Douglas Fir, emphasising that our pricing remains highly competitive for the quality and specification we provide.
Quality of Specification
We never supply boards with less than a 4mm wear layer and always use high-quality birch or eucalyptus poplar backings to ensure long-term durability.
Bespoke Options
Working closely with a UK-based factory, we can create custom board colours, finishes, and sizes, allowing for fully bespoke flooring solutions.
