More than just wood:

Montana is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, including the majestic Rocky Mountains, pristine lakes, and expansive forests. So naming our engineered oak for 'decka plank montana' refers to the boards rugged, natural appearance reminiscent of the landscapes found in Montana, such as its forests or mountainous regions. Also Montana is associated with ruggedness and durability, so the name "Montana" is another example showing how this board is sturdy and long-lasting, much like the hardwood found in the state.

Opting for a traditional oak Decka Plank Montana floor, particularly one with 165mm width boards, can offer several advantages:

Stability: Engineered oak flooring is more resistant to changes in humidity and temperature compared to solid wood flooring. The multiple layers of wood in engineered boards, with the top layer being genuine oak, provide stability, making it less prone to warping, cupping, or shrinking. This is especially important in environments with fluctuating humidity levels, such as kitchens, bathrooms, or basements.

Appearance: Decka Plank Montana offers the timeless beauty and warmth of natural wood. The genuine oak veneer on top provides an authentic look and feel, showcasing the distinctive grain patterns, knots, and character of oak wood.

Durability: Decka Plank Montana has durable contract lacquer finish, which helps protect the wood from scratches, dents, and stains, making it suitable for high-traffic areas. Additionally, the multiple layers of wood enhance the overall strength and durability of the floor.

Ease of Installation: Decka Plank Montana is a tongue-and-groove system, making it relatively easy to install, especially for DIY enthusiasts.

Our engineered board has been produced using multi ply backing, manufactured to European standard EN 326-2. The adhesive used to bond the board is an E1 category, PUR adhesive (formaldehyde free) to DIN/EN 14257 and DIN/EN 204 low emission glue which is heat and water resistant in accordance with BS EN 14342:2005+A1.

The top layer is kiln dried to between 8-12% moisture content.
